Well today could be my last 30+ mile day, that’s if I get the permit I want for Glacier National Park.
So of the 41 of the 93 days on trail have been 30+ mile days. You can see the breakdown below.

Had a hard time getting to sleep so woke up later than I wanted as I had about a 4 mile climb up to the pass with possible blow downs. This was suppose to be the worst part, the part that hadn’t been cleared yet.
Got to hiking by 7:30am and hit the switchbacks right away. That’s when the blow downs started, I was thinking it was going to be a tough start to the day. However, the blow downs weren’t too bad and didn’t last long, maybe a mile.
I ran into a trail crew soon after finishing the blow downs. They told me the rest of the way was clear. I wasn’t sure if they meant to the top or this entire route. Either way it was good news.
Got a great view of the top. The wind was picking up and it was still kind of cold so I started my hike down.

The way down wasn’t bad but soon started to go through old burn sections so no protection from the wind or the sun.
The farther I went down there was less wind and clouds started to roll in and providing shade.

I then entered into thick forest with several waterfalls.

Once at the bottom I followed next to a creek for awhile through an old burn section with the sun back out. Clouds came back later to keep the sun off me.
The rest of the day was going in and out of thick forest with lots of overgrowth. The overgrowth didn’t slow me down but was very annoying.

Got to camp by 8pm. After setting up camp I got to watch an awesome sunset.
